Stronger for it: Losing both of my parents within four years of each other was one of the toughest times of my life, but it definitely shaped who I am today and has made me stronger as a person.
Signature traits: My best friend would say they love my integrity, confidence and sense of humour.
Health turnaround: I lost 125 lbs in three years, which improved my confidence.
Baby of the family: I come from a big family–I am the youngest of 13 children.
HIIT me up: HIIT workouts are my absolute favourite–it’s a full-body workout while burning lots of calories, a win-win for me!

Name: Trisha Weisser

IG: Trisha_fitness_journey
Age: 52
Light in a dark place: During the pandemic, Trisha gained a new appreciation for everything she has, and everything she can accomplish. “It showed me how short life is, how to start living in the moment and how to be mindful of what truly matters in life.”
Positives from negatives: In the lockdown of September 2020, Trisha turned lemons into lemonade by joining an online transformation program to get rid of the weight she had put on during COVID. She ended up winning the challenge!
Family pride: “I am most proud of the life my husband and I have built with and for our daughters. As high school sweethearts, we had dreams, goals and tons of ambition.”
Sentimental social media: The last time Trisha cried was at a “sappy” TikTok. “Being menopausal, I’m on hormone therapy, so pretty much anything will make me shed a tear.”
Best booster: Her favourite workout is a combo of shoulders, back and a three-mile run.

Name: Victoria Budd

IG: vtbudd
Age: 41
Future focus: “I believe that the past doesn’t define who we are but helps us learn who and what we are capable of becoming.”
Straight shooter: Victoria’s best friends love her no-nonsense personality. “I don’t sugar coat things – I say it how it is.”
Nothing but a number: “I went back to school at 33 to become a massage therapist, first stepped on stage as a fitness competitor at 36, had my son at 39, and am in the initial stages of becoming an empowerment expert at 41!”
A tough one: Victoria says she is a tomboy at heart – she was in cadets for eight years and briefly served in the army.
A life-changer: “No matter how much people say the love you have for your children is different, you are not prepared for that feeling until your own child is laid upon your chest after birth!” Thinking about that moment with her son still brings tears to her eyes.

Beautiful work: Yuliana has been a makeup artist for nearly 20 years. “I am most happy when I can put a smile on brides’ faces for their wedding day.”
